Internal sciences are the study of the inner qualities, such as the mind, consciousness, emotions, energy, and intuition. Our ancient systems like Yoga, Ayurveda, Buddhism, Vedanta, and Tantra also root these inner qualities. The purpose of these inner qualities is self-realization, mastery over one’s thoughts and actions.

Core Dimensions of Internal Sciences:

Mind: The main function of the mind is to think, form patterns, beliefs, memory, and imagination. The mind generates thoughts through imagination. The beliefs make our memory strong.

Emotions: Humans are a species that has emotional intelligence, its regulation, and empathy.

Energy: Humans, like other creatures, have a Prana, which is also known as life force. We have chakras incorporated in our bodies. These are of the 7 chakras. We can activate these chakras through meditation and yoga.

Consciousness: Higher consciousness is a quality that only humans have. All others have awareness. The other qualities of humans are presence and soul inquiry.

Practice to Cultivate Internal Sciences:

Meditation: Meditation builds awareness in all aspects. It also gives clarity about whatever we are doing. It also enhances emotional freedom in the mind and balances our emotions.

Breathwork: Breathwork is called Pranayama. By practicing pranayama, our nervous system becomes calm, and it regulates our energy.

Self-Inquiry: Self-Inquiry is known as Atma Vichara. Self-inquiry is simply asking, “Who am I?” This is the most important question that everyone should ask.

Mindfulness: Mindfulness means being fully present in every action, situation, and moment.

Mantra & Sound: By practicing Mantra, our mind gains more energy than previous situation.

Integration into Daily Life:

Morning Rituals: Firstly, start the day with silence. Always show gratitude for everything that you see, feel, touch, and experience. After that, you can practice breathing exercises.

Digital Hygiene: Reduce exposure to screens. Don’t use digital products like mobiles, laptops, etc., excessively. By doing this, our inner clarity increases.

Emotional Check-ins: Pause and observe the situation, and recognize the emotions.

Challenges & How to Overcome Them:

Restlessness: Use breathing exercises and movements to calm the mind.

Self-doubt: To overcome self-doubt, we should practice positive affirmations. Also, have self-compassion.

Inconsistency: Always be consistence in your work. Create habits and rituals to fix this inconsistency.

Overthinking: To get rid of overthinking, we should shift focus from the unnecessary thoughts or situations.
